Levitated optomechanics (LOMS) is transforming gravity sensing by delivering laboratory‑grade performance in compact, robust devices deployable on land, at sea, in the air, and in space.

Our mission is to unlock deeper insight into the Earth and its subsurface, enabling advances in exploration, environmental monitoring, navigation, and security. We work with partners to tailor LOMS systems to real‑world needs and accelerate adoption of next‑generation gravity sensing.

The Problem

Conventional gravimeters are large, fragile, expensive, and difficult to deploy widely, leaving major gaps in subsurface mapping, environmental monitoring, and resilient navigation.

Many regions remain unmapped and many processes unobserved, while demand for sovereign sensing and rapid exploration grows. Existing systems cannot scale to meet these needs. LOMS overcomes these barriers by delivering high‑precision gravity sensing in compact, rugged, low‑power platforms deployable anywhere.

Our Technology

LOMS suspends a particle in vacuum using magnetism, creating an ultra‑stable inertial reference that responds to minute gravitational forces.

 This reduces mechanical drift, and noise, whilst achieving exceptional sensitivity in a compact, rugged form. Demonstrated in space, and easily applicable to airborne, underwater, and remote installations, LOMS adapts to extreme environments. By combining quantum‑inspired measurement with practical engineering, it enables missions and insights beyond the reach of legacy systems.
